Senior Planner - Boone County, Missouri

Boone County's Resource Management Office is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to help shape responsible growth and guide the County's future.  This position offers the opportunity to lead land use planning, development review, long-range planning, and community development initiatives with a high degree of independance.

The Senior Planner conducts research and technical analysis; developes and updates plans, regulations, and policies; reviews complex development and subdivision applications; prepares reports, maps, recommendations, and presentations; coordinates planning studies and grants; conducts field inspections; and provides technical expertise on stormwater management.  The positon collaborates with elected officials, County departments, developers, consultants, agencies and community stakeholders and supervises assigned staff. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field plus 4 years of planning/engineering experience, or a related master's degree plus 2 years of experience.  AICP certification required or obtainable within 2 years.  Valid driver's license required.
