APA Missouri Membership Be an active member
Planners who are a member of the American Planning Association and a resident of Missouri are automatically APA Missouri members. Membership comes with a variety of benefits and services offered by the chapter. Being engaged with chapter activities or serving on the executive committee can enrich the professional experience and expand opportunities.
Join APA Missouri
National and Missouri Chapter Membership
To apply for National and Missouri Chapter membership, please fill out a member application at http://www.planning.org/join/. Once the National APA has approved your application, it will be forwarded to the Missouri Chapter. Any member of National whose address of record is in Missouri is a full Chapter member.
Missouri has three sections- Kansas City, St. Louis Metro, and Ozark Mountain. Any Chapter member whose address of record is within the boundaries of one of the three sections is automatically a section member.
Additional Membership Options
Chapter Affiliate Member
Chapter affiliate membership is open to any non American Planning Association member who wishes to affiliate with the Missouri Chapter. Chapter Affiliates will receive all Chapter services, but are not eligible to hold elective office at the Chapter level. An annual Chapter Affiliate membership is $45. Honorary Chapter Members
The Missouri Chapter may elect Honorary Chapter Members who are not members of the American Planning Association. Honorary Members may be elected by the Chapter Board of Directors because of their distinguished public service and contribution to planning in Missouri, and are not otherwise eligible for membership in the Missouri Chapter. Section-Only Members
Each of the Missouri Chapter Sections - Kansas City, St. Louis Metro, Ozark Mountain - may permit any person to become a member of a local Section, provided that they pay dues that are at least equal to the minimum chapter member rebate amount received by the Section from the Missouri Chapter.
