Mentorship Program
2025 Mentorship Program
APA St. Louis Metro Section is pleased to announce a new mentorship program available to planning professionals throughout the St. Louis region in 2025! We are honored to have the following professionals as this year's mentors, serving as a resource in giving career guidance to planners at any stage in their careers:
- Andrea Riganti, AICP (Manchester Zoning and Economic Development Director)
- Carlos Trejo, AICP (Olivette Planning and Community Development Director)
- Jason Jaggi, AICP (Creve Coeur Director of Community Development)
- Mara Perry, AICP (Great Rivers Greenway Senior Project Manager for Planning)
Whether you are new to the field, wanting to get input about new technical planning skills (e.g. GIS, transportation modeling, or public engagement techniques), or seeking advice on the next steps in your planning career, these 4 professionals from diverse planning backgrounds are an ideal place to start!
To sign up for this unique program, please complete this brief questionnaire. In early February 2025, the SLMS Board subcommittee on Education and Credentialing will review the responses, connect you with a mentor, and coordinate on the date of an informal “coffee chat” meeting with your mentor! After this initial meeting, each group with individually determine future “career insight meetings” that are planned throughout 2025 on virtually any planning topic of interest. In addition, participants can also reach out with questions for their mentor.
While the initial deadline to sign up is Friday, February 7, 2025, the QR code will remain active indefinitely so SLMS members can sign up at any time.
