The City of Edgerton seeks an experienced, creative and collaborative local government professional to serve as the City’s Development Services Director. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, personnel management and technical skills as he/she oversees the operations of the Community Development Department. This candidate will be an effective communicator comfortable with many different audiences, and will be a motivated self-starter who is organized, is able to handle multiple priorities and identifies creative solutions critical to oversee the implementation of the Governing Body’s vision for the community. The candidate will value partnerships and excel at maintaining and building relationships with other local, state and regional organizations. This position leads current planning efforts, including updates to the City's Comprehensive Plan. This director level position also oversees the Code Enforcement and Animal Control divisions and represents the City in front of the Planning Commission, City Council, and various other boards and committees as assigned.

The selected candidate must:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in city or urban planning, landscape architecture, geography,
engineering, public administration or a related field. A Master’s degree in urban planning, public administration or related field,
and AICP certification are preferred.
• Have five to seven years of progressively responsible (including supervisory) related experience; or
• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform
the essential functions of the job.
• Residency in the City of Edgerton is not required.

The salary range for this position is $89,058 – $133,586. The starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
