Overview

This session will define incremental development, why it matters, and why communities should consider this path.  Speakers will present on the practical and necessary steps to truly enable missing middle development in a community. This would cover a review of those elements of zoning and development regulations that are almost always a problem, and what a community might need to add or change to their review processes as well.

 Attendees will:

1. Learn what Incremental Development is, and the variations of it.

2. Understand how Incremental Development and Missing Middle Development can benefit their community.

3. Review techniques for enabling Incremental and Missing Middle Development in their zoning codes and ordinances.

4. Discuss how zoning changes might work in different kinds of communities and markets.
