Overview

When working in the public sector, being aware of ethical and legal issues can mean the difference between managing a small problem and a public relations nightmare.  This presentation will highlight key ethical and legal issues that can save you from a career ending mistake.  Discussion will include not only following the letter of the law but avoiding the appearance of impropriety.  The presentation will address state statutes pertaining to city staff, elected officials, and approinted officials.  It will also touch on the AICP Code of Ethics for planners.
